Here's the latest news on what's happening at UMA:
- FOUR STUDENTS NEEDED TO APPEAR AND SPEAK IN UMA TV ADS
In late April, UMA will be shooting footage for a couple of TV ads promoting the school. We are looking for four students to highlight in the ads: two traditional aged students (18-24) and two non-traditional students (25 and up). These students will appear in the ads and have speaking parts. For more information, click here. - REGISTER EARLY TO CREATE YOUR IDEAL SCHEDULE
Take advantage of the early registration days for degree students on April 9, 10, and 11. Open registration begins April 12. Summer and Fall course guides are available in print and on our web site http://www.uma.edu/umacatalog.html. Registration for degree students begins on April 9, and open registration begins on April 12. Make an appointment to meet with your advisor or Student Services Coordinator to choose your courses early. Popular classes often fill quickly. To ensure that you get your first choice of courses, be sure to register as soon as you can! - PAY-PER-PAGE PRINTING
Please be aware that Pay-for page Print began on February 20, 2007. Students must have a UMA Student ID card with money on their ID account permitting debit purchases in order to print in any computer lab, computer-equipped classroom, or library. Get your UMA ID card early and avoid the rush. Black and white printing will cost 4 cents per page. (more) - UMA PHOTO ID CARDS
Student photo identification cards can be obtained by registered students through the ID Card Services Office in Augusta (Information Desk – Student Center) or through the Office of Student Development in Bangor (Eastport Hall). The UMA Student Life trip this year is to Philadelphia. We depart on Wednesday, May 16 and return on Sunday, May 20, 2007. Sign up for students began on Monday, January 29. The cost for Students is $150. Guests can sign up on Monday, February 12. The cost is $400 for Guests. Space is limited.
