Experience being a valued part of a team. As members of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, UMA's men's and women's basketball teams play colleges throughout New England.
The men's team won the 2009 YSCC Conference Playoff Championship. This big championship win earned the team a bid to this years USCAA National tournament in Pittsburgh, PA. The men earned 8th place in the nation. Moses Brathwaite was named YSCC player of the week as well as an All-American by the USCAA. Deon Cheers reached 2,029 career points and 1,015 career rebounds.
The women's basketball team competed in the final four of the YSCC conference playoffs. Jennifer Lola was named YSCC player of the week twice this basketball season as well as National player of the week. The women's soccer team also plays a strong regional schedule. Regionally, our intercollegiate women's soccer team competes in the Yankee Small College Athletic Conference. This year, the women's soccer team also earned a spot in the USCAA National Tournament. Hannah Kiernan was named a soccer Academic All-American, Jessica St. Amand was named to the All-American team and Danielle Fredette was an honorable mention to the team. Ashley Peaslee was named to the All-Tournament Team for the National Tournament.
UMA has recently implemented a co-ed golf program that competes throughout northern New England.
