Instructor or Assistant Professor of Nursing Education
In order to be eligible for at tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor rank, the successful candidate must have a relevant earned doctorate at the time of appointment.
This position is available fall semester 2007.
The successful candidate will be actively involved in classroom and clinical teaching in UMA's ADN program; student advising; curriculum development; and university and community service. The individual may also be involved in the planning for and teaching in a BSN program.

Requirements: MSN degree nurses will be considered for a non-tenure-track appointment at the Instructor rank. Candidates must have excellent organizational and communication skills and at least one year of clinical experience. Faculty must have demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferences: Strong preference will be given to doctoral prepared candidates. Teaching experience in an associate degree and/or baccalaureate degree nursing program is preferred.
UMA faculty are required to teach both on and off campus. UMA has a rich history of distance education and faculty may be required to teach day and/or evening courses, and to utilize one or more distance education modalities including statewide interactive television, limited access compressed video, and web-based instruction.
