SERVE-ME
Students Engaged in Redefining a Vision for Education in Maine

SERVE-ME is a 300- hour Americorps program. Each year UMA is awarded a number of SERVE-ME spots to be split between the two campuses. These spots can also include an opening for a community member. SERVE-ME members are required to perform 300 hours of community service over the course of one calendar year. In exchange for their service they receive a federal education award worth $1000 that they can use to pay for current educational expenses or to pay back student loans. We accept applications at the beginning of the school year, so look for flyers around campus and read Moosebytes to find out when the application period is open.
